Continuing this year (2026), we are offering a refreshing, bold way for principals to have input into the process of teachers taking courses. Some principals would like their teachers to all be trained on a certain topic (such as “Extinguishing Teacher Burnout” or “Engaging Families”) and other principals would like their teachers to be able to pick any course they like. We are offering CTLE (Continuing Teacher and Leader Education) credits to your teachers.
Clarification: As most teachers are aware, there is a common category of credits (called P-credits) that allow for the purchase of an online, salary advancing course which is 2 fold: a) payment to ASPDP and b) a payment to the vendor (in this case it is Quikitech.com). We are indeed partnered with ASPDP and offer salary advancing courses on ASPDP’s catalog website, but for this program, we are offering an entirely different set of credits called CTLE credits or clock hours which are needed by a vast majority of educators in New York’s 5 Burroughs as well as surrounding areas under the New York City Department of Education.
With CTLE credits, also known as clock hours, we are offering principals a way to purchase a bundle of courses for their teachers from this category of courses. The benefit to the teacher is that their cost is removed completely (unlike with salary advancing courses where for a 3 credit course they must pay at least $125 on average) and the cost to the principal is discounted to $99 per teacher at their school. The benefit to you as the Principal is that you can provide a much needed skill set to your educators; as well as obtain a tangible way to report to the district the specific steps you have taken to align your teachers with district goals. Collaboration among your staff is also increased since you are signing up a group up at the same time. The current bundle offering is $990 for at least 10 teachers, with opportunity to signup as many as 200+ teachers at larger schools or even 1000+ teachers in clusters of schools or small districts.
